The Big Argument
It is Sunday afternoon. Budi and Siti are at home with their mother and father. Budi is ten years old, and Siti is eight. Budi likes football. Siti likes playing with her ball.
Budi wants to play football in the garden. He sees Siti with her new ball. He wants to play with it, too. He takes the ball from Siti without asking.
Siti gets angry. She wants her ball back, but Budi does not give it to her. She asks him to give it back. Budi says no. They argue. Siti shouts at her brother, and Budi shouts at her, too.
Their mother hears them. She comes into the garden and asks what is wrong. Siti tells her about the ball. Their mother looks at Budi. She says that he must ask before he takes something from another person.
Budi gives the ball back to Siti. He says he is sorry. Siti takes her ball and smiles.
A little later, Budi asks Siti to play with him. Siti says yes. They play football together in the garden. Their mother smiles, too. Now the brother and sister are happy again.

Remember how babies
learn a language:
Babies learn a language by listening.
They use their ears to hear sounds.
Their brain remembers these sounds.
Babies connect sounds with people and things.
They listen to their parents.
Then they copy the sounds they hear. They imitate words.
Slowly, babies learn to speak.
So,
LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN………………
