Where Is my schoolbag?

It is seven o’clock in the morning. Budi gets ready for school. He puts on his school uniform. But where is his schoolbag?

“Mother, where is my schoolbag?” he asks.

“Look in your room,” Mother says.

Budi looks under his bed. He looks behind the door. But his bag is not there.

“Siti, where is my bag?” he asks his eight-year-old sister.

Siti smiles. “I don’t know,” she says.

Budi is sad. “My books are in my bag. I need them for school!”

Father comes into the room. “What is wrong, Budi?” he asks.

“My schoolbag is not here,” Budi says.

Father looks at the table. He sees a note. It says, “Look in the garden!”

Budi runs to the garden. He sees the family cat under a tree. His schoolbag is next to the cat!

“Here it is!” he says.

Siti laughs. “You left it in the garden yesterday!”

Budi smiles. “Thank you, Siti!”

“Come and eat breakfast!” Mother calls.

Budi takes his bag. Then he eats breakfast with his family. Now he is ready for school.

Remember how babies
learn a language:

Babies learn a language by listening.
They use their ears to hear sounds.
Their brain remembers these sounds.
Babies connect sounds with people and things.
They listen to their parents.
Then they copy the sounds they hear. They imitate words.
Slowly, babies learn to speak.

So,
LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN………………
