My name is Sochea. I was an excellent manager in a five-star hotel in Cambodia. I retired in May 2025. Looking back, I remember my career and how important teamwork was.

In the hotel, many people worked together every day. The reception, housekeeping, restaurant, and maintenance teams all had different jobs, but we needed to cooperate to make guests happy. Good teamwork was very important.

At the reception, staff welcomed guests, gave information, and answered questions. But the reception team could not work alone. When a guest checked in, the room had to be clean. Housekeeping did this job. If housekeeping did not finish on time, the guest had to wait, and this was not good service.

The restaurant team also had an important role. They prepared meals for the guests. When they worked well, guests enjoyed their food and felt comfortable. Sometimes the restaurant and reception teams had to communicate, for example, when a guest asked for breakfast in the room.

Maintenance was another important team. They fixed problems, like broken lights or air conditioners. Without them, the hotel did not run smoothly.

I learned that good teamwork meant respect, clear communication, and helping each other. When everybody worked together, guests were happy, and the hotel was successful. I feel proud that I led such a team.
