- Simple New Year Exercise
My New Year Reflection for Hospitality Work
Last year I learned that I work best when I help guests directly. I see what I do well and what makes me tired. I learned that talking clearly, giving advice, and being calm helps guests feel happy. I also learned that I need to improve some skills, like using systems and offering extras.
This year I will stop saying “yes” to everything and feeling too tired. I will focus on my main skills and give guests the best experience I can. I will also practice saying, “I will check and tell you later,” to protect my energy.
My word for the year is Balance. I want to balance work and rest. Every week I will do one small habit, like taking one day for myself or learning a new skill. This helps me grow and stay calm and professional.
