1. **Brush Your Teeth**: Brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning and before bed. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles and toothpaste that has fluoride. Brush for two minutes, making sure to clean all sides of your teeth.

2. **Floss Daily**: Flossing helps remove food and plaque from between your teeth and under the gumline, where your toothbrush can’t reach. Use about 18 inches of floss, gently sliding it between your teeth.

3. **Use Mouthwash**: Rinse with mouthwash to kill bacteria, freshen your breath, and reduce plaque. Follow the instructions on the bottle.

4. **Eat Healthy Foods**: Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Avoid sugary snacks and drinks, which can cause cavities.

5. **Visit the Dentist**: Go to the dentist every six months for a check-up and professional cleaning. This helps catch any problems early and keeps your teeth healthy.

6. **Avoid Tobacco**: Don’t smoke or use tobacco products, as they can cause gum disease and oral cancer.

7. **Drink Water**: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water helps wash away food particles and keeps your mouth clean.
